IONOS hosting renewal prices in 2026: what you actually pay
IONOS advertises an introductory rate. This is what the same plans cost once that rate ends, which is the number your card is charged for as long as you stay.
| Plan | Advertised | On renewal | Rise | Same thing here |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Starter 10 GB · 1 site | £1.20 | £7.20 | 6× | Standard £4.99 £26.52 a year less |
| Essential 25 GB · 1 site | £1.20 | £9.60 | 8× | Pro £9.99 £4.68 a year more here |
| Plus 100 GB · 5 sites | £1.20 | £19.20 | 16× | Pro £9.99 £110.52 a year less |
The catch
Intro rate applies to the first contract term only; 12-month minimum term.
The verdict
Being straight about it: on at least one plan above, IONOS is the cheaper option, so if that plan fits what you need then staying put is the sensible call. Where we tend to win is on the plans where their renewal rate jumps hardest, and on not being locked into a term.
What to do about it
If you are inside a term, note the renewal date and decide before it bills, not after. If you are already paying the renewal rate, moving is a job of a couple of hours and we do the transfer for you. Your domain can move separately from your hosting, and it does not have to move at all.
The Quote Checker takes what you pay now and works out the like for like figure here. It will also tell you when you are already on a better deal than we can offer.
