For stallholders & sole traders
Know which markets pay. Have the numbers ready for January.
A good day feels like a full cash tin. But after stock, the pitch fee, fuel and the card reader's cut, some markets pay you well and some quietly pay you less than minimum wage. The Quiver shows you which is which, and keeps a record of every market day for your tax return.
The calculator is free for everyone. No account, nothing stored.
What it does for a stall
- Market day profit. Pitch fee, travel, stock and card fees in. What you really kept, and what it paid you per hour, out. Plus the takings you need just to cover the day, so you can judge a new market before you book it.
- A season ledger. Save each market day and every market you trade at gets ranked by what it actually leaves you. The Christmas fayre against the Saturday market, in black and white.
- One spreadsheet at tax time. Download every day's takings, pitch fees, travel and stock costs as a CSV for your Self Assessment records, instead of a carrier bag of receipts.
- Price your range properly. The product pricing calculator works your materials and time into a price that leaves room for the pitch fee, and saves each costing to your account.
- Invoices for shops and commissions. When a shop wants to stock your work or someone orders a custom piece, send a proper invoice in a minute.
- Selling online too? The combined pricer works out what to list at on Etsy, eBay and Amazon so you keep the same after their fees.

Questions stallholders ask
Do I need a website to use it?
No. The Quiver is a set of tools that run in your browser, on your phone or laptop. You don't need hosting or a domain.
Will it do my tax return?
No, and it doesn't give tax advice. It keeps a tidy record of your market takings and costs that you or your accountant can work from. HMRC expects sole traders to keep records for at least five years after the 31 January deadline for each tax year.
Who sees my figures?
Only you. Saved market days live in your account and aren't shared with anyone, including the markets you trade at.
Can I try it first?
Yes. The market day calculator and the product pricing calculator are free with no account. Membership adds saving, the season ledger and the CSV downloads.
Who makes this?
Centaur, a small UK company in Somerset. The people behind it organise a monthly market, which is why the market day calculator exists.
